We’ve previously heard news of the 3.2 liter V6 engine making its way out of Volkswagen’s Golf and Scirocco and instead being replaced with a high-powered version of Volkswagen’s 2.0 TFSI engine.
In this design study that previews the upcoming Volkswagen Scirocco R20T (rumoured naming conventional similiar to the existing R32 and R36), the 2.0 TFSI engine produces a good 270 horses, mated to a 6-speed DSG gearbox.
Also featured in the design study is an adjustable coilover suspension, big brakes with 4-pot calipers and a performance exhaust system.
